There is less airflow through the Airis8, resulting in it being easier to "sip" a smaller amount of concentrate, which I find particularly useful, as micro-dosing like that keeps me able to work quickly and efficiently, whereas with the dipper I have to be much more careful to separate a bit away from the rest, as it'll easily instantly fire it all in one go. I really expected to see a significant difference in quality, considering that even at non-sale price, it's 1/4 the cost, and currently 1/5 the cost of the dipper, but so far, other than a slightly better fit on the dipper from using just 1 rubber seal instead of 2 on the cap/cover and the airflow difference? They're very similar indeed. No more looseness to either button, no internal rattle when you shake it a little, etc.
Same general look/feel and production level. The Airis8 looks like the Dipper's little brother. I also just picked up a much more expensive Dipper pen like this, thanks to an awesome sale deal. I've been looking for a good replacement for my traditional nectar collectors that's safer to use while working (I work from home) and won't clog up like most dab pens, so. Wow, I've got to say, I was quite pleasantly surprised with this little dab pen.
